Koscom opens up a new market in Asia
A leading financial IT solution provider, Koscom(CEO Kim Kwang Hyun) is making eye-catching steps in Asian market.
On August 17th, CEO Kim Kwang Hyun participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Islamic commodity trading platform named BCH(Bursa Commodity House) for Bursa Malaysia and celebrated the successful launch of the world's first Shari'Ah-compliant commodity trading platform.
BCH was the second project for Bursa Malaysia by KRX and its IT subsidiary Koscom following bond trading platform named ETP(Electronic Trading Platform) which was successfully launched on 2008. On the first trading day, BCH successfully transacted a turnover of over KRW 700mil and satisfied the parties from Bursa Malaysia.
Consecutive success in Bursa Malaysia made Korean financial IT solutions much more credible in Asian market.
Based on such credibility, Koscom is now proposing the third project to Bursa Malaysia and preparing proposals to develope major capital market IT systems for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Koscom is also doing active marketing activities to export its capital market IT solutions to China and developed countries such as Japan and Hong Kong.
After the trip to Malaysia and Vietnam, CEO Kim Kwang Hyun said, "In Malaysia, I met with leading SI companies like FORMIS and Patimas, to enter the Islamic market and discussed diverse ways to cooperate each other. In Vietnam, I suggested our information security infrastructure and discussed how to collaborate for the advanced financial IT infrastructure with MIC(Ministry of Information and Communications) and major banks."
Koscom which is strengthening foothold in Asian market through exporting financial IT solutions, recently reorganized global business team and BOD members are also aggressively participating in the global marketing. Koscom's overseas business has good prospect.
