Koscom, designated as the 7th certified e-document authority 

Koscom(CEO Kim, Kwang Hyun) was designated as the 7th certified e-document authority. Ministry of Knowledge Economy announced through official gazette(No. 2009-138) that Koscom received certification for e-document service.

For past 7 months, Koscom has successfully completed hard qualification processes such as document and field inspection, audit, and final inspection by Korea Institute For Electronic Commerce(KIEC) since last November when it applied for the certification. Koscom also finished registration of the trademark, DocuStar(www.docustar.co.kr).

With the official certification, Koscom comes to legally acquire the authorized position of the e-document business. Koscom plans to create market demands through improved operation process, cost retrenchment, and advanced investment to fulfill the 'Paperless' policy of the government and the enterprises, even though e-document industry is experiencing hardship to attract customers because of economic slump, lack of recognition, and inadequate law enforcement.

CEO of Koscom, Kim, Kwang Hyun said, "Koscom, in the first place, plans to promote the e-document ASP service for securities companies, and then will provide linkage service which connects ASP model and e-document authority service within next year, utilizing over 30 years of experience in securities IT solution service. From then on, Koscom will expand to financial and non-financial area to create a variety of value-added business of e-document."

He also added, “With DocuStar service, Koscom will contribute on Paperless Korea and Green Growth policy of the government through accelerating the switchover process of the financial industry from paper document to e-document." (The End)
