Joins Omgeo STP Partners Program

KOSCOM with Omgeo, the leading trade management solutions provider, together announced a strategic agreement to develop STP(Straight Through Processing) technical tie-up which is a world issue in securities industry and that they would have a joint marketing in Korea.

According to the agreement, KOSCOM's O'CIMS which is a dealing system provided to 18 securities firms is geared with a representative STP solution, Omgeo's OASYS Global. This can improve settlement work's automation process for both domestic and overseas securities firms.

KOSCOM's O'CIMS is a trading solution supports equities trading on a real time basis. It includes features such as real time dealing and settlement of large orders, basket order receipt and trading management and performance management.

Linking O'CIMS with OASYS Global, a world wide electronic trade allocation and confirmation service, both companies can now provide true straight through processing, encompassing front, middle and back office functions to broker/dealer community.

Omgeo provides complete global trade management services, serving 6,000 broker-dealers, custodians and investment managers in 40 countries. Domestically, 16 securities firms like Samsung and Daewoo are using the service.

When STP is done, systems of securities firms and institute investors will have an easier access to the international securities trading network. Then it activates securities trading internationally. Efficiency and reduction in computing expenditure are expected as well.
